“Being Black in a Liberal Faith Movement” A Presentation for UUs & Other Liberal Faith Groups, Presented by Christopher D. Sims
Saturday, February 23, from 1-4 pm at Peoples Unitarian Universalist Church, 4980 Gordon Ave. NW, Cedar Rapids. Creating community through presentations and dialogue, Christopher focuses on the solutions rather then the overwhelming statistics and information that gets in the way of solving racial related problems and divisions. Christopher speaks to the experience of being black in all white communities of faith and how these communities can be more welcoming to and engaged with people of color.
I Was In Charlottesville Stop A Bullet With A Poem Black Healing Spaces Christopher will share these original poems and others through spoken word poetry.
